IMATS Wrap-Up

IMATS 2012As promised, I wanted to give you all a brief synopsis of my adventures at IMATS.

I want to begin by saying that if you have a dream, do not hesitate, make it happen. Now is the time. Live in the moment. Take the steps it will take to get you to where you want to be. You only have one life. Live it the way you’ve always imagined. Nothing less…

I’ve never felt so inspired. Spending an entire weekend in the presence of so many experts, masters, artists… really lights a fire within. It’s such a wonderful, empowering feeling to have such knowledge and tools all there at your fingertips. There was so much to learn and see. It was a little overwhelming, but I left energized and ready to step up my game.

I saw some familiar faces and met some people I’d only dreamed of meeting. (The top photo is Adrien Morot. The third is Eve Pearl.) The man who gave me my introduction into FX makeup (Paul Thompson) was also there and is now the Director of Education for the Make-up Designory.

I’m grateful for it all. And I know there will only be more. I look forward to seeing what amazing things the future will bring.

More soon,

AJ

IMATS Bound!

IMATS Makeup Show

I absolutely LOVE learning new things! So when I found out that the IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) was going to be in New York City while I was on a break from my classes, I quite literally jumped at the chance. Where else would I be able to learn from so many industry professionals ALL IN ONE PLACE?!?!

Temptu Pro, Alcone, Mehron, Eve Pearl, Stila, Make Up For Ever, Kett, Kryolan… all showcasing their wares… Once I’d mapped out all the guest speakers, demos, classes and events I wanted to see on my calendar, I wondered when I’d have time to sleep or see the city.

This is going to be fun. I can’t wait!

I’ll be returning with an arsenal of new tips, tricks and products!
Don’t worry. I’ll share. ;-)

See you soon!

AJ

Welcome to Blush Cosmetic Artistry!

Welcome to the new Blush Cosmetic Artistry Website. This is the first of many changes that are happening around here so keep your eyes peeled!

The portfolio page is currently under construction because I’ve been working instead of creating portfolio entries. Most of them have been video and that’s a little more time-consuming to edit, so please be patient. I promise. It will be worth the wait. :-)

Most of my free time lately has been spent in Esthetician School. By July of this year, I will be able to add the title of Licensed Esthetician to my credentials.

This first page will be where all the exciting updates will go. I’ll be sure to post here first so you won’t have to dig.

Have a beautiful day and thank you for stopping by!

AJ
